If you want to meet real canal and river lovers you can come to the Caroline and stay with Anne-Marie and Ted on their barge. They will know to help you savour the calm and mellow flow of the current on the now over 300 year old Royal Canal du Midi, winding inland through accent villages and Roman fortifications.

For your comfort they have designed the Caroline for a maximum of 6 guests. The mahogany dining room will draw you in with its warm atmosphere of the ancient barges. You can relax among friends around the fireplace and enjoy the stereo system. You will lodge in one of the three spacious cabins with nice comfortable bathrooms.

A large sundeck and a terrace deck sheltered by an awning will allow you appreciate the mild climate while watching the beautiful countryside drift by. Examples of some highlights: Tour of the ancient Roman city of Narbonne, tasting of the region' s fine Corbières and Minervois wines, visit the 12th century hilltop fort of Minerve, visit of Carcassonne, the most complete fortified city in existence.
